Terms and Conditions

Promoter

Mattel Pty Ltd (ABN 60 000 660 962), 658 Church St, Cremorne VIC 3121.

Competition Period

12.01am (AEST) on 18/09/2025 to 11.59pm (AEDT) on 15/10/2025.

Who can enter?

Only Australian residents who are aged 18 or over.

Who can't enter?

Directors, officers, management and employees (and their immediate families) of:

  1. the Promoter; and
  2. the agencies, companies or participating premises associated with this competition.

Where will the competition run?

The competition will run in Big W (excluding Big W Market) stores (including online at bigw.com.au) in Australia (Stores).

Qualifying Purchase

Purchase any participating Mattel Disney product from a Store.
Please see Appendix 1 for the full list of participating products.

Entry instructions

To enter, you must, during the Competition Period:

  1. make a Qualifying Purchase from a Store and collect your itemised purchase receipt; and
  2. visit the Website, locate the entry page and fill out and submit the online entry form, including by uploading an image of the Qualifying Purchase receipt, and providing all other requested information to see if you have provisionally won an instant prize and to enter the major prize draw.

For the avoidance of doubt, whether you win an instant prize or not, you will receive 1 entry into the major prize draw.

Your Qualifying Purchase must show on one receipt only.

Your Qualifying Purchase receipt must clearly identify where the Qualifying Purchase was made, the product/s purchased (which must be/comprise a Qualifying Purchase) and the date of purchase (which must be during the Competition Period before you submitted your entry).

You must keep your Qualifying Purchase receipt for verification purposes.

Receipts must not be tampered with or manipulated/altered in any way. If, the Promoter reasonably suspects, based on the information available, that a Receipt may be tampered or altered/manipulated, you will be asked for further information to allow the Promoter to validate your Receipt. If the information you provide does not establish the validity of your Receipt (to the Promoter's reasonable satisfaction) or you fail to provide such information in the timeframe reasonably requested, the Promoter may invalidate your entry/ies.

The Promoter is not responsible if your mobile device/desktop is not sufficiently capable for the purpose of submitting an entry, including having the requisite photograph capability.

How are instant win prize/s awarded?

There are up to 100 instant win prizes to be awarded randomly based on pre-determined times during the Competition Period, selected by a computerised random system at Studio 111, 87 Gladstone Street South Melbourne VIC 3205.

How many winners will there be and how will they be chosen?

There will be up to 103 winners determined in respect of this competition – up to 100 instant prize winners and 3 major prize winners.

There will be 1 draw conducted.

The draw will be held at 12pm (AEDT) on 20/10/2025 at Studio 111, 87 Gladstone Street South Melbourne VIC 3205.

The first 3 valid entries drawn randomly from the entries received during the Competition Period (including any previous instant winning entries) will each win a major prize.

The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries in a draw and record them in order, in case a winning entry/entrant is deemed invalid or a prize is unclaimed (Reserve Entrants).

What can I win?

There are up to 103 prizes available – up to 100 instant win prizes and 3 major prizes.

Instant win prizes

There are 100 instant win prizes available.

Each instant win prize is a $50 Big W e-Gift Card. The Big W e-Gift Card will be sent to the winner's email address within 28 business days of the notification.

Major prizes

Each major prize is a Disney prize pack valued at $1,655.53 each and consists of the following:

  • 1 x Disney Princess Magic Castle valued at $300;
  • 1 x Disney Princess Story Sparkle 7 pack valued at $150;
  • 1 x Frozen Singing Doll valued at $45;
  • 1 x Moana Transforming Boat valued at $15;
  • 1 x Moana & Sister set valued at $40;
  • 2 x In Season Double passes to a Disney film valued at $40 each;
  • 2 x Disney Store Plush valued at $69.80 each;

  • 1 x Big W e-Gift Card valued at $500.

You can only win one of each prize type (except for SA residents) (i.e. max. 1 instant win and 1 major prize).

Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the In Season Double passes and Big W e-gift cards are not included. Redemption of the In Season Double passes and Big W e-gift cards are each subject to applicable terms and conditions, as follows:

Big W e-Gift Card – Terms and Conditions

This e-Gift Card is redeemable in store and online at BIG W stores only. Participating stores may change from time to time. Terms and conditions associated with the Big W e-Gift Cards are located at www.bigw.com.au/gift-cards;

In Season Double pass – Terms and Conditions

Valid for a screening of a Disney theatrical release (as reasonably determined by the Promoter) at participating cinemas. In Season passes are not tickets for the premiere event. Subject to the terms and conditions of the participating cinema.

Total prize pool

The instant win prize pool is valued at up to $5,000.

The major prize pool valued at $4,966.59

The overall total prize pool is valued at up to $9,966.59.

How many times can I enter?

You can enter multiple times, provided you only enter once per Qualifying Purchase and per Qualifying Purchase receipt.

Each entry must be submitted separately in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

How and when will the winner/s be informed?

Major prize winners will be notified by phone and in writing by email within 7 days of determination and will have their first name initial, last name and postcode published on the Website on 28/10/2025 for a period of 28 days.

Instant prize winners will get a return message on-screen acknowledging their entry and informing them if they have provisionally won a prize and if so, details on how to verify their entry and claim their prize.

Proof of purchase

You must keep your original qualifying purchase receipt(s) as proof of purchase for all entries.

If you don't produce the above proof of purchase for all entries when asked the Promoter may disqualify all of your entries and you will lose any right to a prize.

Proof of purchase must be identical to that provided by you with your entry.

If, in the Promoter's opinion based on the available information, you have shared any proof of purchase with another person, your entries will be invalid and you will lose any right to a prize.

Unclaimed prize/s

Major prize claim date: By 5pm (AEDT) on 19/01/2026.

Major prize unclaimed prize determination: 12pm (AEDT) on 20/01/2026 at the same location as the original draw.

If a major prize has not been accepted or claimed by the major prize claim date above or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter can't contact a major prize winner (or a major prize winner does not contact the Promoter) by the major prize claim date above, the relevant entry/ies will be discarded and the Promoter will re-award the relevant prize/s to Reserve Entrant/s and/or carry out a major unclaimed prize draw at the date, time and place stated above to randomly distribute the prize/s amongst valid entrants who (if possible) have not already won an unclaimed prize.

Any winner/s will be informed by phone and in writing by email within 7 days of determination and will also have their first name initial, last name and postcode published on the Website on 27/01/2026 for a period of 28 days.

Instant win prize claim date: 5pm (AEDT) 29/10/2025.

Unclaimed/unwon instant win prize draw: 12pm (AEDT) 30/10/2025 at the same location as the original draw.

If an instant win prize is un-won during the Competition Period or has not been accepted or claimed by the prize claim date above or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter cannot contact the winner of that prize (or a winner does not contact the Promoter) by the prize claim date above, the relevant entry/ies will be discarded and the Promoter will carry out an unclaimed and un-won instant win prize draw at the date, time and place stated above to randomly distribute the instant win prize/s amongst valid entrants who (if possible) have not already won an unclaimed or un-won prize. Any such winner/s will be informed in writing by email within 7 business days of determination.

If any prize remains un-won at the end of this competition, or if a prize winner cannot be found, that information will be published on the Website on 20/02/2026.


Collection and use of your personal information

If you are a winner, you must take part in all publicity, photography and other promotional activity as the Promoter requires, without any compensation. You consent to the Promoter using your name and image in any promotional or advertising activity.

The Promoter may collect your personal information directly or through the Promoter's agents or contractors. The Promoter will use your personal information to conduct and manage the competition. The Promoter may disclose your personal information to the Promoter's related companies, agents and contractors to assist in conducting this competition, communicating with you/your companions or storing data. This may include disclosures to organisations outside of Australia including the United States in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy Policy.

If you have marked the “opt-in” box on the entry form, you consent to the Promoter keeping your personal information on its database to use for future marketing purposes, including contacting you by electronic messaging provided that where required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), the Promoter includes a functional unsubscribe facility in each direct marketing communication it sends you that you may use to opt-out of any further such communications and provided that the functional unsubscribe facility complies with the Spam Regulations 2021 (Cth). By entering, you consent to receive email or SMS messages from the Promoter without any functional unsubscribe facility if they relate primarily to the conduct of this competition.

  1. how to seek access to the personal information the Promoter holds about you and seek correction of the information; and
  2. how to complain about a privacy breach and how the Promoter will deal with such a complaint.

  1. These Terms and Conditions incorporate and must be read together with the details outlined in the table above. Information about prizes and how to enter forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering, you accept these Terms and Conditions.

Entry

  1. Your entry must be received during the Competition Period and will be deemed to be received only when received by the Promoter. If you return a Qualifying Purchase your entry may be deemed invalid at the Promoter's discretion (unless the product is defective). You will receive a return message confirming your entry. The Promoter is not liable for any problems with communications networks outside its reasonable control. You are responsible for your own costs associated with entering. If you enter using automatically generated entries or multiple phone numbers/email addresses/addresses/aliases, you may be disqualified.

Prizes

  1. Prizes and all elements of prizes must be taken as specified, as and when offered and cannot be altered or changed in any way by you or will be forfeited, and if forfeited, neither the Promoter nor any prize supplier will be liable. If you forfeit the prize or any element of the prize for whatever reason, you will not be given cash or any alternative prize as a substitute. Prize/s are subject to any additional terms and conditions imposed by the relevant prize supplier or the Promoter, including, validity period/s.
  2. The Promoter is not responsible for any dispute between you and any person with whom you choose to, or choose not to, share a prize.

General

  1. Any material failure by you to comply with the conditions imposed by the prize supplier(s) may result in the prize being cancelled or withdrawn without liability for the Promoter or the prize supplier(s).
  2. You must, if required by the Promoter, sign disclaimer and release forms provided by the Promoter in favour of the Promoter and other parties before taking the prize. If you do not sign, your entry will be deemed invalid and you will lose any entitlement to a prize.
  3. If you or your entry are deemed by the Promoter to breach these Terms and Conditions materially your entry (or at the Promoter's discretion, all of your entries) may be discarded. The Promoter may, at any time, require you to produce documentation to establish to the Promoter's reasonable satisfaction the validity of your entries and/or verifying your identity (including documentation establishing your identity, age, place of residence and place of employment). Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not waive those rights.
  4. You must not:
    1. tamper with the entry process (including but not limited to manipulating the system via bots, script use, or any other means to circumvent the entry process);
    2. engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition;
    3. act in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
    4. do anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition;
    5. breach any law; or
    6. behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.
  5. The Promoter is not liable for entries, prize claims or correspondence that are misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted for reasons outside the Promoter's reasonable control, including failure of any third parties to forward entry forms for inclusion in the draw, where relevant.
  6. If any dispute arises between you and the Promoter concerning the conduct of this competition or claiming a prize, the Promoter will take reasonable steps to consider your point of view, taking into account any facts or evidence you put forward, and to respond to it fairly within a reasonable time. In all other respects, the Promoter's decision in connection with all aspects of this competition is final.
  7. Prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged nor redeemed for cash. Without limiting any other term of these Terms and Conditions, all prizes (and elements of prizes) must be taken as and when specified, or will be forfeited with no replacement. The prize values are correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions and include any applicable GST. The Promoter is not responsible for any change in prize value. You agree that if a prize (or element of a prize) is unavailable for any reason the Promoter may provide another item of equal or higher value, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.
  8. If publication will take place, by entering, you request that your full address not be published.
  9. Printing and other quality control errors outside the Promoter's control will not invalidate an otherwise valid prize claim. Every instant win prize claim in excess of the advertised prize pool will be honoured, unless the claim is rejected due to fraud or ineligibility under these Terms and Conditions.
  10. If this competition cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter's control (for example due to software, hardware or communications issues, unauthorised intervention, tampering, fraud or technical failure, government directives, a pandemic, public health orders and the like), the Promoter may end, change, suspend or cancel the competition or disqualify affected entries/entrants, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.
  11. The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from you winning a prize. You should seek independent financial advice. If for GST purposes this competition results in any supply being made for non-monetary consideration, you must follow the Australian Taxation Office's stated view that where the parties are at arm's length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
  12. All intellectual property of a prize supplier is used by the Promoter under licence from the prize supplier. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall be deemed to grant any participant of the competition any right, title or interest in or to such intellectual property.
  13. Any prize supplier of this competition is not responsible for the promotion, administration or execution of this competition.

Liability

  1. You may have consumer rights under statute including under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), which may be relevant to any issue or problem you encounter in relation to this competition and cannot be excluded or restricted. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts those rights. See www.accc.gov.au for more information about those rights.
  2. Subject to the previous paragraph, the Promoter and the agencies, prize supplier(s) and any other companies associated with this competition are not liable (including in negligence) for any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury(including allergies, skin conditions or other reactions, as relevant), illness or death suffered by any person in connection with this competition or any prize, except for any liability which under statute cannot be excluded (in which case that liability is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law).
  3. Without limiting the previous paragraphs, the Promoter and the agencies, prize supplier(s) and other companies associated with this competition are not liable for any loss of, damage to or delay in delivery of prize/s, or for any damage that occurs to displayed prize/s (where relevant), due to circumstances beyond the Promoter's reasonable control. Unless otherwise specified, prize/s will only be delivered by Promoter to addresses in Australia.
  4. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any social media platform, including Facebook, Instagram and X. You provide your information to the Promoter and not to any social media platform. You completely release any relevant social media platforms from any and all liability.
